MLK Health Sciences Symposium

In conjunction with U-M, Michigan Medicine will host its annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Health Sciences Symposium on Monday, Jan. 15. The event begins at noon in the Dow Auditorium and will feature the theme, “The Fierce Urgency of Now — Moving Past Indecision to Action in Health Care Equity.” The keynote address will be given by Adewale Troutman, M.D., M.P.H., a renowned social justice advocate and health equity expert. A light reception will follow the keynote speaker. The Health Sciences MLK symposium is sponsored by the School of Dentistry, College of Pharmacy, School of Public Health, School of Nursing, School of Social Work, Michigan Institute for Clinical Health Research, Kinesiology, Medical School and Michigan Medicine. This year’s event is hosted by the Office for Health Equity and Inclusion.
