September 28, 2017 12:00pm - 1:00pmKHRI welcomes Dan H. Sanes, Ph.D., Professor of New York University’s Center for Neural Science and Department of Biology. He will present his talk at the Hearing, Balance, and Chemical Senses Seminar: “Influence of Early Experience on Sensory and Non-Sensory Processing.” Dr. Sanes is a leading researcher in the study of hearing loss during development. His lab studies the development and function of brain circuits that encode auditory cues, and the emergence of adult perceptual skills. His research is supported by the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders and the National Science Foundation, among others. He is a sought-after lecturer on auditory neuroscience and auditory processing. In addition to his research, Dr. Sanes teaches both undergraduate and graduate programs at NYU. All are welcome Thursday, September 28, 12 p.m., in Buhl Conference Room 5915. Refreshments will be provided.
