Tobacco & Underserved Populations

November 14, 2017 4:00pm - 6:00pm
Hosted by MHealthy Tobacco Consultation Service, a panel of experts in the field of tobacco treatment, policy, and control will discuss tobacco industry practices that target underserved populations, such as minority groups, the LGBTQ community, low income communities, and others. The discussion will also focus on tobacco-related health disparities and what can be done to help reduce inequities. Attend the panel discussion "Social Justice and Tobacco Control: Impact on Underserved Populations" if you are a professional or student interested in healthcare, addiction, and social justice, or if you are simply interested in learning more about how the tobacco industry targets marginalized populations. MHealthy is pleased to offer this event at no charge, however, registration is required. A reception immediately follows the discussion.
