Hearing, Balance and Chemical Senses Seminar 03/16/2017

The Kresge Hearing Research Institute cordially invites you to join us on March 16, 11:45 a.m., when Dr. Bo Duan presents, "Ouch and Itch: The Neural Circuits of the Somatosensory System." His goal in research is to understand the development, organization, and function of neural circuits that underlie a variety of somatosensory modalities, such as temperature, touch, pain and itch. Dr. Duan received his B.S. in Polymer Chemistry and his Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the University of Science and Technology in Hefei, Anhui,China. He did postdoctoral work at the Institute of Neuroscience, the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Shanghai, and at Harvard Medical School. He has been recognized for his research, leadership, scholarship and presentations. The presentation will be held from 11:45 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Taubman Health Sciences Library, Room 2901. Refreshments will be provided.
