Chang Lecture on Art and Medicine

July 20, 2017 5:00pm - 6:00pm
This lecture series was established in honor of the extraordinary Chang family linking art and medicine. Dr. Cheng-Yang Chang was the first pediatric urologist at UM and a steadfast supporter of the Urology Department. Son of the esteemed Chinese painter Ku-Nien Chang, Dr. Chang funded “The Shirley Chang Gallery of Chinese Art” in the UM Museum of Art expansion, in honor of his late wife. The lecture features David Watts, M.D., a gastroenterologist and Clinical Professor at the UCSF School of Medicine and a physician writer who has published six books of poetry, four anthologies, and two books of short stories about the complexities of the Doctor-Patient Relationship
