Hearing, Balance, and Chemical Senses Seminar

March 16, 2017 11:45am - 1:00pm
The Kresge Hearing Research Institute invites you to its Hearing, Balance, and Chemical Senses Seminar, with speaker Dr. Bo Duan, Assistant Professor, Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, LSA. His presentation is titled, “Ouch and Itch: The Neural Circuits of the Somatosensory System.” Dr. Duan received his B.S. in polymer chemistry and his Ph.D. in neuroscience at the University of Science and Technology, in Hefei, Anhui, China. He completed his postdoctoral work at the Institute of Neuroscience, the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Shanghai and at Harvard Medical School. He has been recognized for his research, leadership, and scholarship. His goal in research is to understand the development, organization, and function of neural circuits that underlie a variety of somatosensory modalities, such as temperature, touch, pain and itch. Please join us for his presentation. Refreshments will be served.
