Clinical Issues in the Care of Older Adults

The U-M Clinical Issues in the Care of Older Adults course will take place Thursday, September 28, 2017 at The Kensington Hotel, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This conference is intended for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, visiting nurses, home health aides, and other practitioners taking care of older adults in the community, hospitals, and nursing homes. At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to implement strategies to control pain and symptom management at the end-of-life, basics of opioid use in geriatric patients, measures to protect against provider burnout and cancer care principles for geriatric patients. This course has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, and has been submitted for AOA Category 2A Credits and AAFP Prescribed Credits. An application has also been submitted for CEs with the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative.
