Alternative Approaches to Dementia Care

Join us for this year's Alzheimer's Association Spring Conference, sponsored by the Michigan Alzheimer's Disease Center. The conference this year, titled "Alternative Approaches to Dementia Care", will feature a keynote presentation by Karen Stobbe, who uses improvisation in training dementia caregivers and co-wrote and performed the show, "Sometimes You Gotta Laugh," an educational and entertaining take on Alzheimer's disease, caregiving, humor, and stress. Other speakers include University of Michigan's own Susan Maixner, MD, from Geriatric Psychiatry, Laura Rice-Oeschger, LMSW, Michigan Alzheimer's Disease Center Wellness Coordinator, and Nancy Barbas, MD, MSW, Associate Professor of Neurology and Neurologist at the UM Cognitive Disorders Clinic.
