Determinants of Grief Barbara Rubel, MA, BCETS, CBS 1 nursing contact hour and 1 CEU for Social work approved Our communities are constantly faced with highly stressful, adverse events. Sudden losses such as suicide, drug overdose, homicide, or public tragedy impacts individuals in unique ways. This program will focus on the determinants of grief, which is useful to professional helpers in preparing for and responding to bereaved clients and patients. At the conclusion of this program, participants will recognize the complexity of sudden loss. Attendees will become better equipped to support bereaved clients and patients by understanding factors that influence the way individuals grieve after a sudden loss. Refreshments provided.
