LPPD is a powerful system for developing new products, proven effective in companies large and small across diverse industries. Come learn how the principles and methods of Lean Product and Process Design can be applied in healthcare to create clinical value streams that are effective, efficient and patient-centered. Co-Presenters are: Jim Morgan, Ph.D., Senior Advisor for Lean Product and Process Development at the Lean Enterprise Institute. He will provide an overview of LPPD. Larry Marentette, M.D., Medical Director, and Paul Paliani, MBA, Administrative Manager, Clinical Design & Innovation division of the Quality Department. The two will describe how LPPD is being applied locally to make dramatic improvements in CDI’s own work processes and to help the Michigan Medicine clinical programs that the CDI team supports to learn and improve.
