Health, Spirituality, Religion Lecture

We are excited to host visiting Rabbi Rachel Shere at UMMS on November 9th. She will be speaking through the UMMS Program on Health, Spirituality and Religion. Speaker: Rabbi Rachel Shere, Chaplain Title: End of Life Care as Midwifery for the Soul RSVP: to Renee Hafner ( to reserve free lunch. Rabbi Rachel Shere received her BA in English from the University of Michigan and her MA in Hebrew Letters from American Jewish University. She studied in Jerusalem and was ordained in 2004 from the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies. Her rabbinate includes a great deal of pastoral counseling and hospice work. She serves as a chaplain with the Jewish Hospice and Chaplaincy Network. She is passionate about social justice and has traveled with the human rights organization, American Jewish World Service and is a lay leader at the South Oakland Shelter, working to end homelessness
