Dee Fenner, M.D., named chair of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dee Fenner, M.D., has been appointed chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, after approval by the U-M Board of Regents on Thursday. Fenner joined U-M as an associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology in 2001. She was promoted to her current academic rank of professor in 2006, and was also appointed as professor in the Department of Urology in 2008. On Wednesday, Dec. 13, the Michigan Medicine community will gather to celebrate the career of Margaret Calarco, Ph.D., R.N., NEA-BC. Calarco, who has served in the organization for 31 years including the last 17 as chief nurse executive, is retiring, effective Dec. 22. To honor her accomplishments, all faculty and staff are invited to attend “Nursing at Michigan — Leaving a Lasting Legacy.” The event will include remarks and refreshments. Musler named next UMMG chief operating officer

Executive director for U-M Medical Group, Tim Johnson, M.D., announced this week that Migdalia Musler, MHSA, will assume the UMMG chief operating officer role, effective no later than Jan. 1, 2018.
