Roger Cone named vice provost, director of biosciences initiative

Roger Cone, director of the U-M Life Sciences Institute, has been named to an additional role as the university's first vice provost and director of the biosciences initiative, effective immediately. The appointment was approved Thursday by the board of regents. Cone, a distinguished obesity researcher and experienced administrator, joined U-M from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine a year ago. While continuing as LSI director, Cone also will oversee a universitywide effort to strengthen biosciences research and education. Deadline extended! Make your voice heard in all-staff climate survey

In order to better gauge diversity, equity and inclusion on campus, the university has extended the deadline for the all-staff climate survey. Staff members now have until Sunday, April 23 to complete the survey. It only takes about 15 minutes to complete and all responses are strictly confidential.
