Medical School launches facilities and work environment survey

The U-M Medical School is seeking feedback about current work locations and amenities through the UMMS Facilities and Work Environment Survey. Michigan Medicine strives to be a workplace of choice and your feedback will help the organization make improvements that can positively impact your work environment. The survey is open to the occupants of med school buildings in addition to those in the North Campus Research Complex. Joel Heidelbaugh, M.D. discusses new PSA guidelines

In a moderated lecture at the annual joint American Urological Association and American Society for Men’s Health meeting, Joel J. Heidelbaugh, M.D., professor of family medicine and urology, presented new prostate cancer screening guidelines — including the latest draft statement from the U.S. Preventative Services Task Force. The new statement recommends that clinicians inform men ages 55 to 69 years about the potential benefits and harms of prostate-specific antigen — or PSA — based screening for prostate cancer and make decisions about screening on a case-by-case basis.
