Handouts help you go further with food

March 7, 2018  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

As you know, March is National Nutrition Month, and this year's theme is ‘Go Further With Food.’

Stop by the Healthy Eating Tip displays at both University Hospital and C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital throughout the month to learn about small changes you can make to reduce food waste, cook more at home and find some tips for feeding your active child. Try a new recipe, learn to limit food waste in your kitchen, take your dog for a hike or make some healthy veggie dips with your kids!

Handouts featured at the UH Cafeteria include:

  • Healthy, sustainable eating
  • How to select and store produce
  • "Let's Talk Trash" infographic
  • Go further with food: Reduce food waste

You can also enter for a chance to win a compost bin and a Waste-Free Kitchen handbook!

Handouts featured at the Mott Family Center include:

  • Fueling active kids at home
  • Catch a rainbow everyday
  • Healthy dips at home recipes
  • 20 healthy snacks for kids

Also stop by the Family Center on Wednesday, March 21 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. for a “DIY Veggies and Dip” event! All ages are welcome. Stay tuned to Headlines for more details.
