Reminder: Hand hygiene celebration coming next week
Don't forget, Infection Prevention & Epidemiology will be congratulating faculty and staff next week for surpassing the organization's target for hand hygiene compliance!
“Hand hygiene is the easiest, most effective way to limit the spread of germs and infectious diseases in a health care setting,” said Nicole Nomides, manager of Infection Prevention & Epidemiology. “The entire leadership team is proud of our employees’ dedication to this initiative — and that commitment is reflected in our organization's most recent compliance numbers.”
To celebrate, IPE will be giving away goodies and prizes next Monday through Wednesday, Jan. 29-31, at the main employee entrances in Taubman Center, Mott, UH South and the Cancer Center. Staff members will be at the entrances from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Be sure to stop by to claim your free gift!
“We still have work to do when it comes to hand hygiene compliance, but we wanted to take this opportunity to thank our faculty and staff for the incredible work they do,” Nomides said. “It’s an accomplishment everyone should be proud of.”
