MedEQUIP update

October 2, 2017  //  FOUND IN: Michigan Medicine News

Please be advised that in early October, MedEQUIP — Michigan Medicine’s durable medical equipment provider — will stop accepting new patients for many of the services it currently provides.

There are a few therapies that should continue serving new and established patients uninterrupted; including:

  • LVAD supplies
  • Home ventilators and other associated supplies for adult and pediatric patients in this program
  • Serum ketone testing supplies for ketogenic diet pediatric patients
  • Inpatient specialty beds
  • UV light blankets (AKA: “Bili Blankets”)
  • Cochlear processors

Effective immediately, refer patients to outside DME suppliers when applicable.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation. If you have more questions, talk to your supervisor.
