Employees ‘over the moon’ during recent eclipse

Did you catch eclipse fever last week? Many in the Michigan Medicine community certainly did! As the moon passed by the sun on Monday, Aug. 21, faculty and staff wandered outdoors with special goggles to take a good look at the rare event. Check out photos and stories from the awe-inspiring day!

Surviving brain cancer inspires incoming freshman to pursue medicine

U-M freshmen are moving into their dorms for the first time this week. Among them is Jeffrey Brown, who made an emotional return to the campus where faculty and staff helped him survive stage four brain cancer. UH/CVC leadership team reflects on past year

A number of milestones were reached at University Hospital and the Frankel Cardiovascular Center over the past 12 months, including achieving Magnet recognition and lowering the rate of hospital-acquired conditions.
