Register today for adolescent substance use training

Join the Adolescent Health Initiative for a free and interactive training on adolescent substance use at Washtenaw Community College in Ypsilanti on Friday, Nov. 3 from 1 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.

The session is designed for a multidisciplinary audience of health care specialists, including physicians, nurses, mental health providers and other youth-serving professionals.

John Hopper, M.D., of the U-M Medical School and Wayne State University Medical School will deliver the keynote address entitled “Adolescent Substance Use: A Clinical Perspective on Neurobiology, Prevention, and Management.”

Don’t miss out on a Q&A youth panel to hear youth share their experiences. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of youth substance use during round table discussions on the following topics:

  • Co-occurring disorders: Substance use and mental health disorders
