This week, Headlines focused on how faculty and staff are improving patient care, education and research both at home and across the globe.

Readers learned about a new food pantry in Ypsilanti aimed at increasing food security for patients and families. Also featured was a group of faculty and staff who launched a research workshop in Kenya to teach skills that will bolster patient care in resource-scarce areas; the Office of Patient Experience shared how it can help faculty and staff improve a patient’s visit to Michigan Medicine; and employees were asked to submit process improvement ideas as part of Quality Month 2017.
