Take it up a notch!

Spending long periods of time in a hospital bed can be frustrating for patients and let’s face it — there’s only so much reality television one can handle!

Here’s some great news to help you take service to the next level: Michigan Medicine’s Gifts of Art department offers a bedside art program that provides free art projects and fine art coloring books to patients, families and visitors in patient care areas during the day, Monday through Friday.

Be sure to recommend this service to patients and refer them to the Gifts of Art office at 734-936-2787 for more information.

About Service Spotlight: When it comes to enhancing the patient experience, Michigan Medicine is serious about service. While the Office of Patient Experience is charged with transforming the way team members engage with patients and their families, ultimately it’s everyone’s responsibility to provide the ideal experience at every interaction.

In an effort to help you provide excellent service, Service Spotlight highlights information and resources any employee can use to enhance the patient experience.
