Join AHI for Twitter chat on human trafficking

February 28, 2017  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

Join the Adolescent Health Initiative and the International Organization for Adolescents on Friday, March 3 from noon until 1 p.m. for a Twitter chat on human trafficking.

Nationwide, Michigan ranks No. 2 in human trafficking cases, behind only Nevada.

Contrary to popular belief, many human trafficking victims are not kidnapped or smuggled. Often, victims live in suburbs, rural areas and cities and go unnoticed because community members are unable to recognize critical indicators. Join AHI as it explores human trafficking and provide resources to health care professionals for identifying warning signs.

When: Noon – 1 p.m., Friday, March 3
Host: Jody Haskin, MA, program manager, International Organization for Adolescents
