Our organization is now collectively known as Michigan Medicine, a name intended to better reflect every aspect of our integrated academic medical center: patient care, research and education. Click here to find the answers to any initial questions you may have about Michigan Medicine.

How the Michigan Difference is made

How do you make the Michigan Difference in your department? For one registered nurse, it’s by acting as the best advocate he can be for our patients. Learn the story of Brandon Skira, who was so impressed with the treatment he received as a patient with stomach cancer that he decided to join the Michigan Medicine team and provide the same world-class care to others.

Warming trend: How PFCC is improving the patient experience

Now here is a warm holiday story! The Department of Patient & Family Centered Care solicited donations of fleece blankets to give to adult patients over the holidays. The colorful creations certainly brightened spirits — proving that a little gesture can make a big difference. MLK Symposium to examine Ebola outbreak, other global social issues

Mosoka Fallah, Ph.D., MA, MPH, has spent the last few years leading the fight against the Ebola epidemic in his home country of Liberia. Now, he is coming to Michigan Medicine to share his expertise as part of the university’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Symposium. Find out more about Fallah and all of the events planned over the next few weeks to honor the legacy and work of Dr. King!
