Update: Basic Life Support class offered two ways

December 15, 2016  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

Beginning Jan, 1, 2017, the HeartCode Basic Life Support course will be offered two ways. One way is Blended Activity, which includes mandatory successful completion on the American Heart Association online module and successful completion of the competency assessment/demo class.

The course is also offered as Instructor Led, which includes testing and competency assessments all done in a classroom setting. Please note that the Instructor Led class must be chosen if this is your first BLS class.

MLearning can be used to register for either type of class.

Those with expired BLS cards may now choose either option. Online access key/codes will be made available after registration for an assessment/demo class on MLearning and are valid for use up to one year.

If you have any questions about BLS, please email Jole Mowry at jole@med.umich.edu.
