Piecing it Back Together: Art on display at UMHS
Candra Boggs is an art teacher and two-dimensional mixed media artist. She has been actively working as a traveling artist and teacher for more than 12 years.
Her work, which is constructed from her original two-dimensional drawings, paintings, prints and photography, is currently on display for all employees to see at UMHS.
Boggs cuts her 2-D works into a variety of shapes and then collages them back into quilt-like mosaics. Up most mornings before 5 a.m., Boggs said she she works in the studio with the birds and the morning light, all before waking three small children.
If you'd like to see Boggs' work, visit the Gifts of Art Gallery on Floor 2 of the University Hospital Main Corridor. The work will be on display from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., every day until Dec. 11.
