Healthy Eating Tip of the Month: Eating Seasonally

June 1, 2016  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

Tired of the “same ‘ole, same ‘ole” when you look at your dinner plate? How about the sticker shock of “fresh” fruits and vegetables at the supermarket? If you answered yes to either of these questions, it’s time to think about eating in season! For the month of June, check out a wide variety of information on eating seasonally in Michigan at the Healthy Eating Tip of the Month display at University Hospital’s cafeteria. You can find out more on how our diverse state offers a wide variety of fruits and veggies that you can easily incorporate in your diet… and you can do it closer to home than you think!

While you are there, check out your chance to win a handy garden tool set, so you can start your own seasonal growing! The drawing is located at the bulletin board in the UH cafeteria. To learn more, check out the Healthy Eating Tip of the Month website: http://www.med.umich.edu/pfans/services/tip.htm.
