APPLY NOW: Faculty Scholars Program in Integrative Health

June 5, 2016  //  FOUND IN: UMHS News

We are now accepting applications for the 15th and final cohort of the Faculty Scholars Program in Integrative Healthcare (FSP). The FSP is a unique inter-disciplinary opportunity for UMHS faculty to explore the field of integrative medicine and healthcare with other faculty from different professional schools and disciplines on the various UM campuses. The goal of the FSP is to prepare UM faculty and clinical leaders to incorporate theoretical, scientific, and clinical information related to complementary, alternative, and integrative therapies into their respective field(s). The FSP involves participation for 11 full days (typically a Friday each month) during the 2016-17 academic year. Between meetings, scholars are expected to complete assigned reading and work on designing an individual curriculum, research or clinical service project of their own passion related to integrative healthcare.  Scholars receive mentoring on these projects by Integrative Medicine program faculty.

The FSP accepts eight to twelve applicants from a mix of academic departments, schools, and colleges. Evaluations over the 14 years of the program have been outstanding.  For additional information and application materials, click on http://www.med.umich.edu/umim/education/scholars.htm.  Interested participants are strongly encouraged to contact FSP faculty alumni listed on this website. For further questions or application assistance, please contact Dr. Rita Benn (ritabenn@umich.edu). The deadline for receipt of completed applications is Monday July 13, 2016.
