Yoga encourages overall health and wellness

Yoga’s focus on strength training and flexibility is an incredible benefit to your body. Yoga poses are built to reinforce the spinal muscles, which is the core from which everything else operates. When the core is working properly, posture is improved, thus alleviating back, shoulder and neck pain. Studies have shown that yoga improves circulation by moving oxygenated blood to the body’s cells, reduces pain, reduces the physical effects of stress on the body & mind, has been linked to lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and better immune system function.

Classes are held in Cardiovascular Medicine at Domino's Farms medically-supervised Fitness Center, Mon & Wed 7:00 am & Tue & Thu 2:30 pm.
