New! Dynamic Movement & Balance Class for older adults
The Transitions Training Studio within the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is once again offering an 8-week Dynamic Movement & Balance Class for older adults. The class is based off the Otago Balance Program, developed in New Zealand, which has demonstrated to be effective in reducing falls and the number of injuries from falls by 35%!
New for this 8-week class is it will be split into two groups. The Level 1 class is appropriate for those who use assistive devices for walking such as canes and walkers. The Level 1 class meets Thursdays from 12-12:50pm. The Level 2 class is for individuals who do not use any assistive devices for walking, and it meets Thursdays from 11-11:50pm.
The class meets at 325 E. Eisenhower Parkway, in the 2nd floor aerobics room. The classes start April 7th, and spots are filling up, so call today to reserve your spot! Registration is limited to 10 participants! For additional questions, feel free to contact us at either of the following methods.
