Get out from in front of our screens and get active! Help the UMHS celebrate National Walking Day on Wednesday, April 6.

There are two ways to participate:

  • On-site:  Join UMHS staff member-led walks starting in the Towsley Triangle and concluding with cool-down/stretching back in the Triangle, led by MHealthy. Fun prizes and incentives will be available, and tables will be set up from MHealthy, the Frankel CVC Wellness Resource Center, and the American Heart Association.  Walk times are at 6:30 a.m., 7:15 a.m., 8:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 11:45 a.m., and 12:30 p.m.

Onsite registration will also be available for the Washtenaw County Heart Walk/5K Run, which takes place the morning of Saturday, May 9.

  • Virtually:  Can’t make it to Towsley? On April 6, get moving on your own or with your coworkers at your workplace! Plans are also underway for a selfie contest – look for more information soon.
