C.S. Mott hosts ‘Horsepower with a Heart’ fundraiser to honor former patient
Are you interested in fast cars, food, fun and fundraising for a great cause?
Join other UMHS employees and the public Aug. 28 at 6:30 p.m. for the 2nd annual Full Throttle: Horsepower with a Heart event. This truly amazing event is inspired in honor of our former Congenital Heart patient, Caden Bowles.
Caden, was an eleven-year-old patient at Mott whose passion for life included an extraordinary love for and knowledge of cars. He was no average car nut. He would endlessly chatter about cars. He had knowledgeable, thoughtful explanations for his analyses of new product lines and trends in the car industry. He even created his own newsletter during his long days at the hospital – an impressive hand-drawn publication he called “Full Throttle.”
Now Full Throttle is an exotic car show hosted by the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Congenital Heart Center in partnership with several elite car connoisseurs. The event will be hosted at Zingerman’s fabulous Cornman Farms and will feature gourmet food and beverages prepared by the well-known Chef Alex Young.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to donate to Congenital Heart Research and Pediatric Heart Transplant at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.
