HRD Career Conference 2015

We are often told that we are responsible for pursuing our individual career goals. On June 16, Human Resource Development (HRD) will host our third annual Career Conference. This will be an opportunity for you to be inspired and motivated to take charge of your career and make those first strides toward realizing your personal dream. There will be a keynote session and two career development sessions.

Keynote Presentation: Three Gutsy Secrets of Success
Keynote Speaker: Kate White

In her keynote, Kate will offer clear strategies to help you unlock your inner leader, create big, bold ideas that will enable you to excel and she will talk about how you can:

– Ask for the opportunities (and money!) you need
– Be the relentless architect of your career
– Savor the success you earn

Kate White is an internationally known expert on leadership, work, and success, and a New York Times bestselling author of several influential books on those topics, including, most recently, I Shouldn’t Be Telling You This: How to Ask for the Money, Snag the Promotion and Create the Career You Deserve. Her advice is based on her career running five major U.S. magazines. For 14 years she was the Editor-in-Chief of Cosmopolitan, which was the bestselling monthly magazine on the newsstand during her tenure and was published in 64 countries.

In addition to writing non-fiction, Kate is the author of the New York Times best-selling Bailey Weggins mystery series and four stand-alone thrillers: Hush, The Sixes, Eyes on You, and the upcoming The Wrong Man. She is also the editor of the just published Mystery Writers of America Cookbook.
