What happens when a cancer survivor crosses paths with someone recovering from a serious motorcycle accident? In the case of Scott Miller and Jim Jacoby, their lives changed abruptly when they discovered a common goal: to redefine what is truly important in life, shed what isn’t, and help others to do the same.

Miller and Jacoby are the featured speakers at this year’s Cancer Survivors’ Day Celebration. It’s sponsored by the U-M Comprehensive Cancer Center and takes place from 1-3 p.m., Sunday, June 7. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. at the Morris Lawrence Building, located on the campus of Washtenaw Community college.
