If you need to tell patients how to get to their appointments, direct visitors or event attendees to a location, or even find your own way around, here’s some good news. The UMHS Maps & Directions site has been updated and expanded, and new templates are available to help you create customized printable maps on your own computer.
The floor maps page now has:
• A map for each floor of the new C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital building
• The Level 2 Connector - a map showing how many of the buildings on our main medical campus connect
• Floor maps for the currently occupied areas of UH South - the building that formerly housed many services now in the Mott and Von Voigtlander building
• Floor-by-floor maps for the patient areas of University Hospital, Taubman Center, Cancer Center, Cardiovascular Center and MedInn
The main UMHS maps and directions page can be reached by the easy-to-remember address www.med.umich.edu/maps, or by links on the Internal Home Page, the UofMHealth.org patient site, the main Health System site and the Medical School home page.
In addition to floor-by-floor maps, the site has interactive Google maps showing all UMHS locations throughout Ann Arbor, southeast Michigan and the rest of the state. Because the maps are built using Google Maps, it’s easy to generate driving directions to any location.
There’s also a downloadable PDF of the general medical campus map, which can also be ordered in paper form through Marketsite (more information here).

New Microsoft Word templates are now available that allow you to insert your own directions and other information into a printable page that also includes a floor map.
