Beginning March 5, the last bus departure from the Mitchell Field (M75) Lot on Fuller Road will be 7 a.m.
After that departure, the inbound Med Express and Southbound Commuter buses will not enter the Mitchell Field parking lot. Instead, these buses will use the Fuller Road Lot (NC78) shelter for their inbound stop on Fuller Road.
The outbound Med Express and Northbound Commuter buses will not be affected by this change.
Analysis of parking vacancy data has shown that the Mitchell Field Lot is typically full by 7 a.m. each morning. Stopping bus departures from this lot after 7 a.m. will help increase pedestrian safety by reducing foot traffic across Fuller Road.
