Some new research on the placebo effect from U-M researchers has been appearing in both science news outlets and the popular press in recent days.
The study, which looks at the impact of personality traits on response to a placebo, has been covered in news outlets from the Los Angeles Times to Scientific American and The Scientist.
Researchers Jon-Kar Zubieta, M.D., Ph.D., and Marta Pecina, M.D. of the Department of Psychiatry and Molecular & Behavioral Neuroscience Institute, led the research, which was published online in the Nature journal Neuropsychopharmacology.
