We are now at the half-way point in the MHealthy Rewards program, which asked benefits-eligible employees to do two things by May 2012 in order to receive an extra $100 (before-tax) in their paychecks:
1. Complete the confidential 2012 StayWell® health questionnaire
2. Complete a confidential wellness screening or submit health values provided by a health care provider
To see a chart showing the most up-to-date participation numbers for your area, go to http://www.med.umich.edu/hsh/EVPMAHealthAssessmentParticipationGraphs%203-26-2012.pdf.
(Please note: If your area’s screening event has not taken place yet, your numbers may be low.)
University-wide, 39 percent of benefits-eligible employees have completed the health questionnaire and 16 percent have completed a wellness screening. The university’s goal is to reach 50 percent or more participation in BOTH activities, so let’s do our part to achieve or exceed this goal and, at the same time, take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about our health.
Those who need to complete the health questionnaire should go to www.MHealthy.umich.edu/rewards to do so. This also is the place where people can learn about wellness screening locations and options. The screening is an opportunity to “know your numbers” for blood pressure, cholesterol, height and weight.
There are screenings scheduled through May at a variety of locations and times. Participants can also submit health values they already have from a health care provider. Values must have been taken between April 1, 2010 and April 1, 2012, and the Health Care Provider Form must be submitted to StayWell by April 30, 2012.
To protect your privacy, the health questionnaire and wellness screening are administered by StayWell Health Management, a national provider of health improvement services.
