Ready, Set, Fly race to help fight childhood obesity (May 13)

Participate in a 5-kilometer or 1-mile race to raise money for Project Healthy Schools and its fight against childhood obesity.

Ready, Set, Fly is hosted by students from Skyline High School’s Health and Medicine Magnet class, with help from Champions for Charity. The race takes place Saturday, May 13 on the Skyline High School campus, 2552 N. Maple Rd., Ann Arbor, and in the surrounding neighborhoods.

• 5K starts at 9 a.m.

• 1 mile starts at 10:30 a.m.

• Pick up race packets starting at 7:30 a.m. on the day of the race, or from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Science and Wellness Expo on Friday, May 11 in the Skyline cafeteria.

T-Shirts guaranteed for all participants. Awards are given for each age group and for overall winners. All proceeds go to Project Healthy Schools, a community and University of Michigan Health System collaborative that provides school-based programming to reduce childhood obesity and its long-term health risks.
