The 14th Annual Weisbach Lectureship in Prostate Oncology will be held at noon on Monday, Oct.28 in the Ford Amphitheatre, second floor of the University of Michigan Hospital.
A complimentary lunch will be available inside the auditorium lobby at 11:30 a.m.
The event is geared towards all UMHS staff (clinical and non-clinical), Medical School faculty, staff and students (E-News) and Cancer Center faculty & staff.
This is an endowed lectureship dedicated to the memory of Jerry A. Weisbach. This year’s guest speaker will be Karen E. Knudsen, Ph.D., Vice Chair (Strategic Planning) & Hilary Koprowski Chair, Dept. of Cancer Biology, Professor, Depts of Cancer Biology, Urology, & Radiation Oncology Thomas Jefferson University, Deputy Director (Basic Science) & Leader (Biology of Prostate Cancer Program) Kimmel Cancer Center, Director, Greater Philadelphia Prostate Cancer Working Group.
Knudsen will present “AR regulation and DNA repair crosstalk: Mechanisms and implications for disease progression.”
